Most probably the world's worst airline

This is my tenth flight with Ryanair this year - and eight of the 10 flights had delays - usually between one and two hours, but we had more than three hours too!

There is basically no way anymore that you can convincingly plan longer trips with them, for example a train journey after arrival, because you never know when you arrive. Today, we are loosing another train ticket that we bought ages ago in advance, when we still believed that some delays are exceptions to the rule, rather than the new rule. Even back then, we already calculated with a one and a half hour Ryanair delay, but that is just not good enough for that "never on time airline".

To make things worse, according to EU law, they only have to pay compensation from a three hour delay, i.e. most delays go without any sanction, meaning a contribution from Ryanair for the additional expenses their customer have to pay. Long live neoliberalism?

Add to that the non-existing Ryanair customer-sevice, which leaves you in the dark about new departure time, gate changes etc, and you have the worst package you can possibly buy.

What can we customers do about it? At first, let us please stop buying drinks, food and other items on flights that come with more than half an hour delay. We should not reward such an airline for what they do to us. And then better check always the prices of competitors: Eurowings, EasyJet, Vuelin, Wizzair, anything that stays within a reasonable price for the package might be worth considering.

Contact with a real person at Ryanair impossible

One year ago we had a Ryanair flight from Copenhagen to Rome and a return flight from Naples to Copenhagen. Both flights were cancelled by Ryanair. They have send forms for cash refunds, but when I fill them out I just got the message that they cannot treat the complaint.I have tried to chat with them.I have tried to call them.I have sent E mail.It is impossible to get in contact with a real person. You only get in contact with a computer and there is no way of explaining your situation.A good advice. Don’t ever use Ryanair. If something is wrong you never get a refund.

In this climate steer clear

In this climate steer clear, I paid in full 'package deal', Balerics in 2 weeks time, the gov advises 'amber do not go for leisure', + 10 days quarentine + 100's in PCR test, if I go I will lose my job (NOTE AMBER LIST IS NOT FOR LEISURE AS PER THE GOVERMENT), so why are you taking people there? Ryanair DO NOT CARE you flight is booked YOU ARE GOING, as my rubbish travel operator ,'loveholidays', have not answered my call for 3 months (this could have been avoided), leave me to talk to a robot everyday spouting out the same generic answer I have severe anxiety (if they just would take my call to rebook i would, i am reasonable), however I am expected to co-cordinate flight plans and check with them if a hotel is available (they do not take calls - Martin Lewis will vouch for this, google it..loveholidays complaints), I am stuck in limbo and it is partly to RyanAir being irresponsible (my colleague has just lost £350 onflights to france, shes a nurse and cannot quarentine for 10 days so shes taken the loss), there mantra is 'is booked your going!' where other reputable airlines will say' this is not good for you lets rebook', so I am stuck with a flight to a country with 2 children (I cannot pay for PCR testing per person 3 times, I dont even know what the age limited is, no-one tells you) to a country where the hotel is closed when I try to call or make a bookings, its a living hell, and RyanAir, please note the confidence of people booking your flights is what has held you up for the last year so this is unethical that I could lose alot of money for a holiday with significant changes, this is not what I paid for (agreed to) last year, therefore your relentless flights (no matter the goverment saying you should go), combined with Loveholidays absolute refusal to talk to a customer for 3 months (fully paid customer), lacks safety quite frankly, confidence, do not take my word for it do your research, pre-covid yes great cheap carriers but in this day and age you will suffer greatly if you book with this airline and travel operator, great stress thank you! accountabilty and organisational culture needs looking at here, people are already skeptical I will never book with either party, please research what I have said, times have moved on use a reputable travel organisation please even if it cost a bit more, I stand to lose ALOT of money i work very hard for :(Mr O'Leary LOOK at your reviews ! its going terribly wrong, confidence is lowering and reputation is key we dont have to travel its CHOICE, if I worked for your company I'd sit up and take action. I understand aviation has taken a hit but to be quite frank you earn alot more than an NHS worker (its not our fault)Holidays 2021 = lottery of false advertising,

Awful experience

Awful experience. These flights are cheap for a reason, coming back from magaluf was the worst flight experience I’ve ever had. No leg room and roasting hot, felt like a was on a coach. Never again.

Terrible experience using Ryanair

Terrible experience using Ryanair. It was not possible to travel last year due to COVID restrictions in the country we were flying to but as Ryanair flew an empty plane we could not get a refund. Tried to raise this with them on several times but got either the same reply on phone or a generic email back from there customer services. No customer service and didn’t care about us as a customer.

I was supposed to go on a trip in April 2020 I requested a refund received less than half of it, on complaining to Ryanair they asked I submit another for, which I did, still no refund and radio silence from this shambolic company! You don’t even get what you pay for from these clowns DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!

Never again Ryanair

Firstly totally understand the problems concerning airlines holiday companies ect, but that doesn't excuse the abysmal customer service by Ryanair, it's taken 9 months to get my refund, I've had lie after lie, I've had flights refunded within easyJet 48 hrs,. Jet2 4 days, no problems, so why Ryanair take so long, just hoping people give up, some of the things I've heard about them they shouldn't be allowed to trade,, take a top and Never book with these charlatans they are a disgrace

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, still waiting for a refund from a flight moved in October. Apparently cannot verify my details even though I have offered photographic ID etc. Will not even confirm that the flight was changed so I can deal with travel agent not them directly. I will NEVER use ryanair again

Nearly a year waiting for a refund

Ryanair is cheap, but that's about it. I don't care about the lack of comfort or frills, as it suits me to travel that way, but the company is trying everything to avoid paying refunds for flights cancelled due to covid. My flight was cancelled in March 2020 and I was offered a voucher - which I declined by filling in a refund form on their website. They emailed me to say I would be refunded. In April they sent me an email asking me to claim the voucher, which I had already declined. This I guess was to avoid paying the refund...In February of 2021 they send me an email saying my voucher expiry has been extended. Again trying to get me to claim a voucher that I don't want. It's been nearly 12 months since I asked for a refund and I still haven't got it.

Awful Company

Their unfortunate "Jab and Go" ad campaign struck a chord. Yet another strike against this morally corrupt company.

I made a promise 2 years ago that I'd never fly with RyanAir again and I intend to keep it.

I booked and paid for 3 sets of flights for myself and 2 family members. Then, I end up needing to go to hospital on the weekend that the flights were happening. The flights wouldn't be for another two months, so I fill out their form that claims to refund in the event of serious illness. My situation was that. I needed this surgery and it was going to be happening. At the time, I had heard that RyanAir are very bad at refunding or giving vouchers if you need to cancel flights, but I thought I'd chance it since the form was there.

The reply I got back was just terrible. I am not exaggerating. The cretin who responded to my email treated me like I was the kid with glasses in a schoolyard full of bullies. "You will not get refunded or a voucher under any circumstances. We never give refunds." She went on to write two full paragraphs that felt like she was belittling me for having the cheek to fill out that form. I felt upset because I was already emotionally vulnerable because I was dreading what was going on in my life. So I send her a reply asking her why she felt the need to be so rude, and she could have just said "sorry, we can't give you a voucher or refund" and leave it at that. Why make someone feel so small.

Instead of answering my question she responds saying "there is no way that you are getting a refund, so there is no point in sending more messages." Seriously, what on Earth?

So I email her back saying that I did not ask again for a refund, I was addressing her rudeness. I said that I would never fly with RyanAir ever again. I know O'Leary says that people say this, then fly with them again. I won't and haven't. It's been a couple of years...

Given the attitude of the woman via email, I would rather fly with Aer Lingus from now on. I've flown with them a few times already and they're honestly much nicer to deal with, and they don't treat their customers like begging scum.
